Put it this way: for every person who has died in every space mission ever (of which there are 18), there are 14 fatalities who have crosses at any point in Snaefell.
There are glaring omissions that need to be put on. And I put it.

I’m only confused about the insinuation that NASCAR and Formula 1 are slow. I get that they’re safer crashes, it’s amazing what those guys walk away from. But slow?

Yeah, though, to be fair, motorcycle racing feels and looks faster than NASCAR. Not faster than F1, of course, but...
Think of it this way: Sure, F1 also looks fast when you look at onboards, but there’s a reason why we think IoM onboards look and feel faster.

I in NO WAY mean to imply IoM isn’t the most insane fastest racing, especially in onboard view.
I’m just saying maybe go-kart racing should be where NASCAR is on this chart. Ya kno?

Slow relative to rockets. The guys adding points to the comic are putting them too far to the right! The Saturn V reached exceeded 6000 mph with just the first stage, and the minimum speed to reach orbit is over 17,000 mph!

Well, the isle of man being faster than the rockets is the actual joke....

The original point of the comic was to say that compared to rocket launches everything in the world is slow and safe

Honestly, if you compared the fatality percentage of IoM to space travel I think space travel might take it. Yes, IoM’s had far more faltalities, but it’s also had far more participants. Think about it this way, if you’ve got a race where 1000 people have competed and 25% died, and a race where 100 people have competed and 100% have died, which is more dangerous?
ETA: After a quick check I’ve found that space travel has a 4% fatality rate. That means if more than 6250 people have raced the Isle of Man then it is indeed safer than space travel. With 108 competitors this year, it’s certainly more than reasonable to guess that number may well have been eclipsed by now.
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

To be fair, you'd probably have to equivocate 1 trip to space and back with 1 lap on IoM, not just number of people who have competed. If you counted fatality as #deaths/#astronauts, the fatality rate is more like 7.7%.
